Ms. Dr. Sevim studied in Marburg, London, Geneva and Newark. She acted as an observer in international legislative processes at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. She was also able to work internationally at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva. In the USA she worked with the German Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. She was also able to work with the World Bank in Washington D.C..

She also worked as a legislative officer at the Federal Ministry of Health in Bonn. She has also gained professional experience at several large law firms as well as in “boutique law firms”.

She holds a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Law and a LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from London.
